The staff's hospitality was exceptional, going above and beyond to accommodate our early arrival and ensure a comfortable experience. The king-size bed in our room was incredibly comfortable, making for a restful night. Breakfast was memorable, especially the poached eggs on avocado toast. the sausage, though prepared well, didn't meet the high expectations of a local sausage aficionado.

A Must-Visit for Food Lovers
The staff were accommodating, letting us check in early so we could make it to a wedding without a hitch. The breakfast was unequivocally divine. I had the avocados on toast like it was ambrosia itself!
Wasn't exactly pocket change, but worth every single penny.

I had a wonderful time with my friends during our stay! We enjoyed cycling around the lovely countryside and even went horse riding nearby, which was a blast. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious! Just a heads up, they don't serve dinner on Sunday evenings and Mondays, so plan ahead for meals.

Location is superb, just a five-minute drive from Junction 25 on the M5, perfect for an overnight stop. The character of the old coaching inn shines through, with a lovely bay window in the room and a clean bathroom that feels refreshed despite the age of the building.
The approach to the rooms isn't great, with a rough car park and a tatty entrance that could use some work. The stairways are narrow, which makes lugging luggage a hassle, especially for those with mobility issues. In room three, the carpet shows signs of wear, and the paint needs a fresh coat. The beds feel overly firm for comfort, which is a personal preference, but it could affect your night's sleep. There was also an odd drain smell that lingered occasionally , even though it wasn't too disruptive.
